Abstract:
For the rapid development of tourism in Macau, many construction projects are under development, such as Venetian Cotai Resort Parcel 2, Parcel 5 & Parcel 6, Galaxy Cotai Mega Resorts and City of Dreams Macau etc. City of Dreams will be a significant landmark in Macau. The project complex an underwater-themed casino and 4 hotel towers will have totally 2,000 rooms. The construction site is located in the north east portion of the Cotai Strip, across the street from Venetian Macao next to the Shangri La hotel. The Construction of City of Dreams began in 2006 and is expected to open in March 2009. The project is constructing by a joint venture comprising Leighton Asia (Northern), China State Construction International Holdings Limited, and John Holland. This visit will share the experiences of construction management, challenge during construction, safety in surveying and survey methods etc.
