This seminar will provide the participants with an update on a number of latest legal developments in Hong Kong, which include the third party funding for arbitration, the new HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules, increase of the civil jurisdictional limits of the District Court and Small Claims Tribunal and the recent signing of “The Arrangement on Reciprocal Recognition and Enforcement of Judgments in Civil and Commercial Matters between the Courts of the Mainland and Hong Kong SAR”.
Mr. Justin Yuen is a partner of the Construction and Arbitration Practice Group of Deacons. He is qualified in Australia (New South Wales), Hong Kong and England and Wales. He is a dispute resolution lawyer with a focus on construction. The clients he has assisted in the past 15 years include public bodies, property developers, main contractors and sub-contractors with projects ranging from infrastructure to commercial and residential.
