In this seminar, Ian will explain the routes now available for professional registration, with the UK Engineering Council, in the UK. This is relevant to China/Hong Kong and Macau at this time as the region is making plans to open reviews in HK from 2018
Ian Cowling is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of ICES, Fellow of ICE and a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS). He is currently Head of Commercial Services with BAM Nuttall, in the UK. Ian joined them over 20 years ago and rose through the Company running the commercial aspects of various parts of the business. His experience covers marine, rail, airports, nuclear, roads, water, contamination, and heavy civil engineering in the UK and overseas.
In 2006 Ian was invited to become the Chief Examiner of ICES and has travelled the world on behalf of the Institution, representing their interests in numerous ways. In 2012 Ian presented a paper on “Acceleration” at the Beijing Arbitration Commission, on behalf of ICES. Ian also regularly lectures around the world and at UK universities. In September 2017 Ian will assume the role of President of ICES. |
