Daniel Cheung is a Director of Turner & Townsend’s Global Contract Services Team and heads the Contract Services business in North East Asia. He has worked in London and Beijing and is currently based in Hong Kong. Daniel is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, China Academy of Arbitration Law, Institution of Engineers Australia, Society of Construction Law (UK) and Project Management Institute.
He is a procurement, contract and claim specialist with extensive experience in various types of standard form and be-spoke contract. He has hands-on experience in preparing contract documents and managed projects in London using NEC forms of contract. Daniel is currently advising a public body on the tendering of an NEC contract using target cost for a major infrastructure project in Hong Kong.
The use of NEC Forms of Contract for the procurement of construction contracts in Hong Kong has become more popular over the last few years. In this seminar, Daniel will introduce the development, objectives, structure, features and adoption of NEC. He will also share with us his experience on the implementation of NEC.
