Mr. Honby Chan
Chairman of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (Hong Kong Region)
Mr. Honby Chan is the Managing Director of A1 Surveyors Limited. He is an Accredited Mediator and Arbitrator, Dispute Resolution Adviser, Professional Surveyor and Civil Engineer and has been involved in the professions for more than 30 years. During this period, Mr. Chan has held senior positions in various sizeable organizations, such as Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation, New World Group, Chun Wo Group and Consolidated Electric Power Asia Operations (HK) Ltd. Mr. Chan provides his clients the expertise on mediation, quantity surveying, project management, expert witness and contractual claims advice. In addition, Mr. Chan has great contributions to public services, communities and professional institutes. Currently, Mr. Chan is also the Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (Quantity Surveying Division), the Hon. Secretary and the Chairman of External Liaison Committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers, the Panel Member of the Appeal Tribunal Panel appointed by Development Bureau, the Panel Member of the Barrister Disciplinary Tribunal Panel appointed by Judiciary Hong Kong, the Panel Member of the Disciplinary Panel of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants appointed by Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau and so on.
