Abstract

Once a contract comes into existence and work commences, events occur which can result in a claim based on the contract documentation.  However, not every claim is valid, so it is important for the contractor to prepare the claim in a way which will make it easy for the Engineer / Architect to understand and agreed.  In this seminar, Mr. Jeffrey Wong will discuss the following topics: -

  1. Why an extension of time clause is required under a construction contract;
  2. The common grounds for extensions of time;
  3. Interpretation of the extensions of time clause;
  4. Contract procedure; and
  5. Programme and delay analysis.

Priority will be given to ICES/HKIES members, thereafter place will be allocated on the “first come, first served” basis.  Please register on-line via www.ices.org.hk/home.php or fax the reply form to the attention of Mr. Patrick Wong at 25233823. The number of participants is limited to 120. For enquiries, please contact Mr. Patrick Wong (Tel: 22309636) / Mr. Simon Leung (Tel: 91918441).
