Abstract
Once a contract comes into existence and work commences, events occur which can result in a claim based on the contract documentation. However, not every claim is valid, so it is important for the contractor to prepare the claim in a way which will make it easy for the Engineer / Architect to understand and agreed. In this seminar, Mr. Jeffrey Wong will discuss the following topics: -
- Why an extension of time clause is required under a construction contract;
- The common grounds for extensions of time;
- Interpretation of the extensions of time clause;
- Contract procedure; and
- Programme and delay analysis.
Priority will be given to ICES/HKIES members, thereafter place will be allocated on the “first come, first served” basis.
