This presentation introduces the latest research development on Smart City by Laboratory for Smart City and Spatial Big Data Analytics, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. These include (I) a range of Smart City technologies, in line with the Smart City Blueprint by the HKSAR Government, including smart mobility, smart environment, smart living, smart economy and smart people; (II) spatial data infrastructure for high densified city, like Hong Kong, based on CityGML; and (III) smart land surveying: including a) artificial intelligence-based change detection technology for land use monitoring, b) airborne LiDAR-based 3D road network mapping, and c) LiDAR- and image-based mobile mapping. |
