A CPD - "who Dares, BIMs Handling BIM risk in Hong Kong" will be held on 31 July 2013 (Wednesday)
At its simplest level, BIM provides a common environment for all information defining a building, facility or asset together with its common parts and activities. This including building shape, design and construction time, costs, physical performance, logistics and more. However in the rush to BIM, some of the approaches adopted may be cause for concern. Also, BIM requirements may compel a party to take on design obligations which are inconsistent with the overarching contractual obligations. Vincent will explore the legal implications that may be thrown up when ‘BIM’ing’ in Hong Kong.
